Welcome back to MMU for the new trimester! I could see that the development of new entries for the blog is very slow. And some members haven't posted anything yet. So I think we may start the 'themed post'. Instead of choosing theme like 'My favourite movie', I would start with questions that I saw from some other blogs, and maybe we can know each other better.

There are 38 questions all together. The best part is that, be creative to answer it! And answer based on your interpretation of the question. It would show what kind of person you are. Unleash that personality! Be funny too.

I would answer first, maybe you can copy and paste the question at your post. Don't forget to put two labels: One is the normal one, our names, and the second is "Questions" just like what I did. Call me outdated, but I don't go to cinemas that often. My last movie at the cinema was...........can't remember! LOL

Somewhere urban. New York maybe, it's where dreams are made of, famous for movie scenes and a city that never sleeps.  :p

Coco Crunch and low fat milk

Most of the time I eat Malay and Malaysian dishes especially at home.

Can't name one now

Any place that won't make you sweat while eating. It's uncomfy!

At times simple, super simple just grab anything.

I can drive both, manual and auto cars.

I LOVE COOKIES AND CREAM from any brand!

McDonalds! I know my answer is too mainstream but they are everywhere and relatively cheap.

Can't think of one. By the way why must I max out my credit card? LOL

I posed naked for a magazine. NOT!
36. What was your favourite vacation?
I can still remember the mesmerizing view inside cable car and on top of jambatan in between mountains in Langkawi. Singapore was not bad. And never been to anywhere else. :p

Went out for dinner? I guess that would be with Yean See, Chun Chuan, Yvonne and Tyson at Oldtown.

My media player currently is playing Let Me Love You by Ne-Yo.

A Gloomy Evening...

My days during this holiday were fine at first. I've got ups and down in managing my business and constantly trying to expand it despite the capital constraint I'm facing. Today I launched my reconstructed website and I hope that it will bring more revenue in for the rest of the year.

I've been in and out of the gym everyday since I touched down in Penang and it was one of the best therapy that I could get myself into since I am always busy with DC Bodybuilding Clothing Co. lately just because I want my new Sem to start with ease and to have no heavy load from my working side.

Just when you think I am already finished complaining about my holidays. I'm not quite done yet.

One of the person that I loved the most in life, whom make up most of my chapters are about to leave us all behind. My grandma got admitted to the hospital last Wednesday and it did not get any better. Yesterday, she was admitted into the ICU and Doctors told my family that she has a few more days left with us. I thought situations like this only appear in the movie screen. It isn't easy at all to know that the one you love is about to be gone 'forever' and you have to brace yourself for what might come ahead.

God's willing, granny is still with us until now. I pray that she would be free from suffering, anxiety and pain.Your prayers for her means the world to me.

I won't be around for the first day of the Sem. I wish you all the best of luck in the new Sem and see you soon.

PS: I'm not secretive when it comes to results so if you do wonder, I end my first year degree with a CGPA of 3.54, I am happy with it based on the effort I gave in.

Two is better than one.

''Siblings. Nature's way of creating a slightly (or very) different version of us.''

I picked up my brother from school this afternoon and witnessed something that touched my heart. I slowed down my car as the students were crossing the road, and that was when I watched a boy holding the hands of his younger brother as they cross to the other side of the road. The elder boy looked carefully at both directions of the driveway while firmly holding his brother's hands to ensure that they get to the other side safely, and the younger brother followed closely by his side. The warmth of their brotherhood radiated through a simple act of bringing each other across the street.  


As I was driving and searching for the sight of my brother, I found him doing the same thing. Our eyes met and he headed towards my car. I smiled to myself (like an idiot), because I have a sibling. =)   

I have a younger brother. Our age gap is rather huge, and in sundry ways our uniqueness is clear, but nothing gets in the way of our close and whimsical sibling-hood. Like most siblings, we annoy each other to the core at times. We fight then we make up. Siblings fight over ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, but you know they are the ones who will be right next to you when the world tumbles down. There's a saying that goes 'Half the time when siblings wrestle, it is just an excuse to hug each other', I think this is somewhat true. LOL. Through siblings fights I learnt that anger is natural and that relationships can survive disagreements. Because despite how much we fight, he is the one person I know that will never leave me behind. I'm truly glad that I have a close relationship with my brother and that he'll always come to me to share everything. 

This video of Charlie and Harry reminds me of the silly things that we do with our siblings. Plus, it's cute.


Having siblings is a blessing. To the outside world we grow and change, but not to our brothers and sisters, because we know each other as we always were by heart. We share family feuds and the ups and downs. Siblings can sit next to each other in utter silence all day and be completely comfortable. They are like best friends that you can never get rid of; You know no matter what you do they'll still be there. When siblings get together, no fortress is as strong as the pact they make. 


'Sweet is the voice of a sibling in the season of sorrow', when we feel like nothing seems right, our siblings come and pick us up from the ground to make things right again, and we do the same for them. We all act like we don't care, but deep down we know that we're looking out for each other. Sometimes being a brother/sister is even better than being a superhero.

P.S. If you don't have a sibling, that doesn't make you less special, it only makes you unique in your way, where you share your love with cousins or friends.

Hello all!

Greetings from Sitiawan!

As you guys can see from the photos from facebook, I went to Cameron for MMU CCF camp for 3D2N. Oh ya, CCF stands for Chinese Christian Fellowship. The camp theme is Super Love 爱在我行. It means "show your love through actions".

Did u notice that it's a love instead of an S inside the box?

So basically, the activities are bible sharing by the speaker, games, camp fire, barbecue, singing sessions and etc. I have learnt a lot in this camp, and realized there are so many things i have neglected, which i think it's a really good refreshment camp for me. Besides, i have met some new friends, and our bonding among CCF members have grown stronger and closer.

This is my first ever experience to play water gun in highlands, it's fun and cool! :D

And by the way, we can only feel the coldness during the night and early morning in cameron, the temperature during daytime is just so-so.

On the last day, before we departed back to Cyberjaya, we hung around in Brinchang and visited some farms.

Blog's first week

Did you notice that we have reached 232 hits since the first day of the blog?

Probably the hits came from us, probably they came from some random people (based on Google results), and probably some of us shared the links to family, friends and acquaintances. Probably probably probably. PROBABILITY. Can somebody calculate the confidence interval? LOL. Okay, just so you know, as for now, the blog is open to public to read.

Move on to Labels. The setting of the Labels here, as seen on the right column ---> is 'Cloud'. Other blogs might use 'List'. Cloud is more fun, for me. Label with the most entries and posts will be the highlight of the cloud. As we can see, Darryl is the champion of publishing new entries so his name would appear the biggest (that's because we put our own names for the labels). If you're wondering how Labels work (probably you're new to blogging), you can hover your mouse to a label, and if you click it, all the entries tagged with the label will appear. I think this is useful if you want to share your entries to those outside the team, you can simply give link, example is like this http://pagesofourledger.blogspot.com/search/label/Yvonne%20Goh . That is Yvonne's post list's label, and she can give this link to her mother maybe, or her childhood friend for them to read. It would be all about her posts, and her mother and childhood friend does not need to scroll through other author's entries (they might not be interested). If they also want to read, not a problem.

Probably in the near future, we might add some varieties in the blog contents, by choosing a topic and every members will have to create an entry about it. In example: My current favourite song. Every members will write something about it, and we will tag a label to that: "Current Favourite Song". So next time you wanna read all the entries about that, you can simply click on that label and read all the listed songs by Team IX members. You can make comparisons!

 Lastly, did you know that you can share a specific link of a specific post? Probably you know, probably you don't. You can simply hover your cursor to a post title, right click it and copy the link address. Example: http://pagesofourledger.blogspot.com/2012/10/first-post-of-esthar.html. That is Esthar's first post's link. Share the link and the person clicking the link will directly be directed to that one specific post. This is useful when you really want to share something to somebody outside the team (that does not know the existence of the blog) and you don't want to scroll through all the newer posts, simply copy the link's URL and give it to the person who might need it. I hope you can understand all these lengthy explanations, and if you do have doubts and questions, hit the comment box below! :)

Ps: Blogger.com also allows authors to schedule the publishing time of a post. Let's say you composed a post at 8AM, and you only want readers to read / know about it later at 6PM (but you will not be handling your laptop/ smartphone to publish the post), you can schedule it. Cool? COOLIO. LL COOL J. LULZ

First post of ESTHAR?

First of all, one week of our Lovely holidays was gone! My first week was not as FUN or SPECIAL or HAPPENING as the other authors but it was a TIRING but GOOD experience. As for those who closed with me or knew me for quite a long time, I'm sort of 'MONEY FACE' in my personality. So, the most popular activity that I would like to do during my holidays is earning money with some part-time jobs.

Well, it was a little bit different for this time because this event was kind of huge compared to my old experience. My usual agency didn't call me up for any job in the first week so I found another job in the website. Ok, the event that I worked is titled 'Enfagrow Kids Camp'. Obviously, it was a KIDS event. Forgot to mention that I did went to training for this job on last Tuesday in Midvalley. (*OMG, the training took for 5 hours and my dad had waited me there.) The training flow divided into 3 sections: Client introduce the product story, Advertising company-Bates explain the mechanical event and followed by promoter agency supervisor brief for the responsibility. But this do let me learn something new in their presentation.

Sorry for no photos to be provided about the camp because my 'cheap' phone cannot take photo due to mechanical problem.haha. But I can say, all of us had repeated for 1million times for the same sentences for these three days camp. There are four stations in the game department. The manager had appointed me to the first station due to my good answering skill during the training. (HAHAHA, THIS WAS MY HAPPY MOMENT BECAUSE IT WAS A COMPLIMENT FROM A POWERFUL GUY!) My job was telling kids about the story line of the concept of this camp to start the game. SO, MY VOICE WAS VERY SEXY NOW AFTER THREE DAYS EVENT. (Darryl, I assure you will compliment it to me!)

"Listen kids, now the Professor Owl is missing, you need to find him out for me ok. Before you find it, you need to drink MILK MILK for JieJie( Sister). Come, be ready with your one finger and point the MILK MILK out for me. (WITH A VERY VERY LOVELY SMILE)"
This is sort of a version of my description to the kids.

'Courtesy is a way of life', what is your take on this?

I was driving at the highway yesterday noon and my car was running out of petrol so I stopped at the Shell petrol station near Sg. Besi. Despite the irritatingly hot weather, the counter personnel was really friendly and he greeted every single customer with a warm smile, which I find impressive. I smiled back and greeted 'thank you', as a recognition of his effort in providing service at his best. I was filled with a sense of contentment through a stranger's warmth and goodness.

Just as I was about to be convinced of the idea of courtesy still being practised in today's society, something happened and failed me. An old Australian couple was filling petrol into their car parked in front of mine. And there was a huge double-decker bus parked next to their vehicle. The bus driver sat in the driver seat with the bus engine on, so I guessed he had pumped petrol and was ready to leave. Unexpectedly, an incredibly loud and lengthy car honk was released from the bus out of nowhere. It was so disturbingly loud that some of us jumped to the sound and everyone turned their heads towards the bus to catch a glimpse of the happening. I caught a sight of the old Australian man looking like the loud honk scared the living daylight out of him. I was puzzled for a moment as I question the reason behind this irrational and inconsiderate behaviour of the bus driver. It turns out that he was honking at the bus passengers who were buying things inside the mini mart, signalling them to hurry up and get back into the bus. I pitied the poor old man as he stood nearest to the bus.

That wasn't the end. In less than 3 minutes, the bus driver honked again, this time even louder and longer. The old man jumped again to the sound of the intensely loud honk. He turned to the bus driver and said 'Hey! Stop doing that!'. And then the bus driver scrolled down the window and shouted back at the top of his lungs 'Shut up! You've got a problem?? I do what I want! This is my job! F*** off!'. Everyone at the petrol station were stunned by the bus driver's words. The poor old man was in silence as the bus driver continued to scream at him with nasty words. The bus driver's impudence was humiliating and disappointing. What happened to his morality? Where are the values as promoted by the government's campaign of ''Budi Bahasa Budaya Kita / Courtesy is our culture''?

I'm sure most of us have come upon road bullies. I'm referring to those drivers who drive way too fast, come way too near to the back of your car, then overtake your car. BUT, that wasn't the end, they just had to pull off some filthy moves as they overtake, such as flashing their middle finger, or screaming foul words.  I've had countless encounters with road bullies and I find them very very disgusting, simply because I don't get why it is so hard for them to act like decent human beings.

I strongly believe that courtesy is a way of life. Courtesy is being respectful and considerate towards others, and that's what makes us a civilization. Everyone wishes to be treated nicely. The act of consideration starts from ourselves if we desire the same treatment from others. Courtesy is as simple as a warm smile, or an acknowledgement like 'thank you', or apologizing when we make a mistake. Often we are overtaken by our emotions and let it get in our way. If we could be thoughtful of what others are going through, negativity can be eliminated from our lives.

A man may fight fiercely in a war, a business, or in a court, but he does not need to fight to get ahead of everyone else in a queue. No one is too big or too busy to practice courtesy, as it is one of the little things that could change the world. Random acts of kindness bring you a lifetime of happiness.

After all, is it really that hard to say 'Please' and 'Thank You'?

Let us all practice kindness and pass it on. Go put a smile on someone's face today. =)
