AIS assignment [UPDATED]

We cannot do it simultaneously, because we need the latest backup file. So one stage to another, and one person at a time. Eventhough I have specified the names, it doesn't mean each member have to do it alone. I might do it together with any of group member, so as you, because we are still in the process of learning. We will have mini discussions from time to time.

Food tasting and testing: myBurgerLab

These awesome photos were taken today, at myBurgerLab in Seapark, Petaling Jaya. Funny. The plan was for us to meet there at 5PM, where Yvonne will drive her car and YeanSee will be the passenger, me myself will drive another car from Bangi, and Darryl will come slighly later at 5.30 pm, driving his own car from Puncak Alam. It turned out that the first two cars, (Yvonne and I) was lost in Petaling Jaya area. While we were supposed to book the seats first and wait for Darryl according to the 5 pm plan, failed as we were waiting for Darryl for another reason:- to lead us to myBurgerLab in Seapark! LOL We were lost. Totally lost. We finally found the restaurant at 6 pm. That is an hour later according to plan. 

I had no idea where I was. I know the way to get there but to find Seapark is very tricky. My earlier research using Google Maps and Wikipedia failed, but it had never failed me before.  My first landmark to get there, which was a roundabout, had recently been demolished and replaced with traffic lights. No wonder I got lost. I was searching for the roundabout! And after I couldn't trace the roundabout, everything seems not to make sense at all. Later, I hopped into Darryl's car, with Yvonne and Yeansee following through, browsed through iPad's map and we finally found myBurgerLab. 

The location is not in downtown PJ. It's not even near Jaya One. It's somewhere in the neighbourhood, so:-

When we arrived the queue was long, but not as long as what I saw in myBurgerLab's photo in Facebook. In that photo the queue was dragged till the outside of the tiny restaurant. Today, the queue remained inside but the the restaurant is packed with hungry people. The atmosphere of the restaurant is not like any other restaurant. From outside I see the atmosphere resembles an open house. I also get the vision of the moment 5 minutes before Ramadhan's break fasting in restaurant, where everybody wants a seat! Back to the queue, if I'm not mistaken it took us 10 minutes to place our orders.

We were given index number or angka giliran just like any banks / post office. Our number was 72. The current number was 44. The waiting time was about half an hour. Then it's time to look for empty seats. It's not easy. It's so jammed pack with people, so imagine for yourself. Thank god a staff came in handy when he offered us to look for seats.

It's the drooling part now! The burgersssss. YeanSee ordered Spicy Hawaii chicken burger, while Yvonne ordered Chicken A+ burger. I took the recommendation of YeanSee by ordering 'The Beautiful Mess'. Darryl ordered "Kick In The Face" to the power of 2 burger. We decided to order 4 different burgers so we can try all four and decide on the one with the best taste. We ranked "Kick in the Face" the best because the patty is very juicy. *drooling now*. The Beautiful Mess came in second, A+ burger was downgraded to C due to it's performance that was ranked by us at number 3 and Spicy Hawaian came in last. Fries tastes good and we had bottemless soda.

One thing about eating the burgers here is that, it will get messy! I always wonder why must it get Messi, and not Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka or Robin Van Persie? LOL just kidding. So to tackle the messy issue, you need lotsa tissues. But hey the interior design was not messy at all. Designed to be simple, not size consuming, with spacious effect (white colour chosen) and unique mural, will at least decrease the tense inside the shop, urm looking for seats maybe? Haha. My favourite mural would be the chemistry's periodic-table: Version burger, it's out of the box. But the mural in the shape of burger is cute too. It's written "Hungry? Omnomnomnomnom this burger!". 

So to wrap up the post, it was a nice experience trying a 'black burger', it's different, unique in it's own way AND it's nicer because somebody paid for it :) Come early, as early as 5 pm because the queue will start right away.

Welcome back to MMU for the new trimester! I could see that the development of new entries for the blog is very slow. And some members haven't posted anything yet. So I think we may start the 'themed post'. Blog's first week

Did you notice that we have reached 232 hits since the first day of the blog?

Probably the hits came from us, probably they came from some random people (based on Google results), and probably some of us shared the links to family, friends and acquaintances. Probably probably probably. PROBABILITY. Can somebody calculate the confidence interval? LOL. Okay, just so you know, as for now, the blog is open to public to read.

Move on to Labels. The setting of the Labels here, as seen on the right column ---> is 'Cloud'. Other blogs might use 'List'. Cloud is more fun, for me. Label with the most entries and posts will be the highlight of the cloud. As we can see, Darryl is the champion of publishing new entries so his name would appear the biggest (that's because we put our own names for the labels). If you're wondering how Labels work (probably you're new to blogging), you can hover your mouse to a label, and if you click it, all the entries tagged with the label will appear. I think this is useful if you want to share your entries to those outside the team, you can simply give link, example is like this http://pagesofourledger.blogspot.com/search/label/Yvonne%20Goh . That is Yvonne's post list's label, and she can give this link to her mother maybe, or her childhood friend for them to read. It would be all about her posts, and her mother and childhood friend does not need to scroll through other author's entries (they might not be interested). If they also want to read, not a problem.

Probably in the near future, we might add some varieties in the blog contents, by choosing a topic and every members will have to create an entry about it. In example: My current favourite song. Every members will write something about it, and we will tag a label to that: "Current Favourite Song". So next time you wanna read all the entries about that, you can simply click on that label and read all the listed songs by Team IX members. You can make comparisons!

 Lastly, did you know that you can share a specific link of a specific post? Probably you know, probably you don't. You can simply hover your cursor to a post title, right click it and copy the link address. Example: http://pagesofourledger.blogspot.com/2012/10/first-post-of-esthar.html. That is Esthar's first post's link. Share the link and the person clicking the link will directly be directed to that one specific post. This is useful when you really want to share something to somebody outside the team (that does not know the existence of the blog) and you don't want to scroll through all the newer posts, simply copy the link's URL and give it to the person who might need it. I hope you can understand all these lengthy explanations, and if you do have doubts and questions, hit the comment box below! :)

Ps: Blogger.com also allows authors to schedule the publishing time of a post. Let's say you composed a post at 8AM, and you only want readers to read / know about it later at 6PM (but you will not be handling your laptop/ smartphone to publish the post), you can schedule it. Adam's trip

As requested, a post about my short, budget trip to Singapore!

First day in Singapore, I was at Universal Studios Hollywood Singapore (duh!) I think most of you have been there, or at least heard of it. The games are cool, but the weather was not. It's killing !

Okay, back to the themepark, we were lucky that it was a weekday, so that indicates LESS PEOPLE ! No queue, can repeatedly play all the games and lockers are available ! My most favourite ride would definitely be Transformers, and Shrek, Jurassic Park comes second and third (because it will make you wet, oooh aaaah). The rest are still fun, never under-estimate them (Battlestar, Ancient).

Food journal: The night before USS, I had myself the nicest, most colourful, scrummiest, most delicious, highly pleasant, most delectable, most scrumptious, yummiest and juiciest ABC I have ever tasted ! It came from heaven. God sent it to me as a sign that EXAMS ARE OVER (well, the last paper was that morning) lol. I have never tasted any ABC that delicious, SERIOUSLY. The best part, they only cost you RM3 ! RINGGIT MALAYSIA THREEEEEE. Not even a three fifty. I paid him three fifty (Read: RM3.50) then he told me, "Adik, it's only three ringgit", or Sara if you don't understand, he said, "Kiddo, it's only three ringgit". Three ringgit for the special one with ice cream ! So the normal ones? Free? Lol

He should pay me commissions for that review. Well, move on, I tried McCafe ! Though we have it in Klang Valley now, but my first cup of McCafe was in IFly Singapore, in Sentosa. My first kiss with McCafe was with Caramel Frappe. Taste good. Worth buying. I also tried Mango Frappe and Mocha, but I less preferred Mango. The next day, we dropped by at another McD in Orchard Road, as WE ARE ADDICTED. It's relatively cheap compared to Starbucks, and it tastes nearly the same, well at least according to my taste buds. I tried Double Chocolate, and this would be my favourite among all four I have tasted. My next McCafe experience would be to try their hot drinks.

This is a long blog post. I have not even finished my first day. After USS, we went downtown Singapore. We parked at Suntec building, and walked to Merlion Park. Yes, it's super far, we should have worn track suits and sportswear, and join some Singaporeans jogging along the waterfront.
The view there is breathtaking. Million dollar view ! Singaporean or US Dollar? You decide. I would love to be on top of Marina Bay Sands, the one they call it like a ship landed on top of three buildings. The skypark. The skyline is mesmerizing too. I love to see skyscrapers and tall buildings.

Third photo: Fountain of Wealth. We had the chance to be in the middle of the fountain and perform the 'rituals' there. We were asked to circle the mini fountain inside, three times, with right hand inside the fountain. Probably wealth will come after you, LOL. And finally, after a long walk, we met Merlion. I felt the breeze of Merlion's saliva.

It's about time for the second day in Singapore!

A day dedicated for shopping. First stop: Bugis Junction area. It's like our own Sungei Wang Plaza, they have alternatives for things you can't afford to own. Relatively cheaper than Orchard Road. Second pitstop: Orchard Road. This is their premier shopping street, just like Fifth Avenue in NYC, Oxford Street in London, Champs-Elysees in Paris, Via Montepoleone in Milan, Ginza in Tokyo and Jalan Bukit Bintang in KL.

 Third day of the trip was not in Singapore. Its a day dedicated for Johor Bahru. First stop was Johor Premium Outlet. It's my second time here. For those who asked me about the price there, not everything was marked down and affordable. But one shop you must enter is Pedro. All shoes are the type of shoes I would wear (mens, of course) and the price could go as low as RM 110.

 I took a train ride to get back home. I took the one with bed. The upper bed is RM 37, while the one below is RM43 or RM45 can't exactly remember. I would prefer train than bus, because I could sleep happily on my bed. They also serve food at the train cafe. They have toilets! I actually had enough of bus trip, because previously I took my diploma in Kedah, and that was 3 years of travelling using bus and it bored me to death. I would rather take a slow train, but I can sleep on a proper bed. So far I had no problem with the sounds and minor vibrations of the train, but just make sure you are ready to sleep (tired). If you want to save money, you can take the normal seats, they are cheaper than bus tickets, but it would take longer to reach your destination.
