Blog's first week

Did you notice that we have reached 232 hits since the first day of the blog?

Probably the hits came from us, probably they came from some random people (based on Google results), and probably some of us shared the links to family, friends and acquaintances. Probably probably probably. PROBABILITY. Can somebody calculate the confidence interval? LOL. Okay, just so you know, as for now, the blog is open to public to read.

Move on to Labels. The setting of the Labels here, as seen on the right column ---> is 'Cloud'. Other blogs might use 'List'. Cloud is more fun, for me. Label with the most entries and posts will be the highlight of the cloud. As we can see, Darryl is the champion of publishing new entries so his name would appear the biggest (that's because we put our own names for the labels). If you're wondering how Labels work (probably you're new to blogging), you can hover your mouse to a label, and if you click it, all the entries tagged with the label will appear. I think this is useful if you want to share your entries to those outside the team, you can simply give link, example is like this http://pagesofourledger.blogspot.com/search/label/Yvonne%20Goh . That is Yvonne's post list's label, and she can give this link to her mother maybe, or her childhood friend for them to read. It would be all about her posts, and her mother and childhood friend does not need to scroll through other author's entries (they might not be interested). If they also want to read, not a problem.

Probably in the near future, we might add some varieties in the blog contents, by choosing a topic and every members will have to create an entry about it. In example: My current favourite song. Every members will write something about it, and we will tag a label to that: "Current Favourite Song". So next time you wanna read all the entries about that, you can simply click on that label and read all the listed songs by Team IX members. You can make comparisons!

 Lastly, did you know that you can share a specific link of a specific post? Probably you know, probably you don't. You can simply hover your cursor to a post title, right click it and copy the link address. Example: http://pagesofourledger.blogspot.com/2012/10/first-post-of-esthar.html. That is Esthar's first post's link. Share the link and the person clicking the link will directly be directed to that one specific post. This is useful when you really want to share something to somebody outside the team (that does not know the existence of the blog) and you don't want to scroll through all the newer posts, simply copy the link's URL and give it to the person who might need it. Ps: Blogger.com also allows authors to schedule the publishing time of a post. Let's say you composed a post at 8AM, and you only want readers to read / know about it later at 6PM (but you will not be handling your laptop/ smartphone to publish the post), you can schedule it.
